T.C.P.A. Prohibits Unsolicited Calls and Text to Cell Phones

The message is clear from the public that receiving sales calls or texts on a mobile device is considered by most an imposition and a cost to minute and text plans for unwanted solicitation. Is your business at risk of fines?

A growing amount of complaints have been pouring into legislators demanding limitations on solicited lead generation calls to mobile devices. October 16, 2013, the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Agency) will put into effect the latest layer of stipulations, which prohibit telemarketers from making auto-dialed or prerecorded calls to wireless numbers without prior express written consent to do so.

Even if the prospect is an existing customer this rule also now applies. Violations can range from $500-$1500 per incident. Click here for more information.
